Camp Info

2008 is Tavani Soccer's 6th year of highly successful summer camps. Our camps have grown in popularity each year and this year we offer players four weeks of action at two different locations (South Forsyth's Joint Venture Park and Duluth's Bunten Road Park). The camps are for boys & girls, ages 7-15. Also new this year is the Elite camp from 12 noon - 1:30 pm (after camp on weeks 3 and 4), which is for the serious player who wants more soccer action (boys & girls, ages 10-15).

Our camp staff is an experienced mix of top club and high school coaches along with college players. All of our college players were once coached by camp director and Georgia Coach of the Year, Gregg Tavani, and serve as role models to our young, aspiring campers. Our goals are to increase young players' skills, further develop each camper into a better player, and most of all make it a fun experience.

We look forward to our best summer yet in 2008. We hope you join us for one of our camps playing the best sport in the world!

Note: We encourage teams and/or groups of players on a team to attend our camps as all players are divided up in groups by age and skill. Also, we have a goalkeeper coach on staff.

Our camp schedule is designed to be both intense and fun at the same time. We work hard and play hard during the three hour sessions.  Experienced players will be challenged and beginning players will fall in love with the "beautiful game". Players are divided and assigned to a coach according to age and skill.

Philosophy

  • Instill the enthusiasm and passion we have for the game to every player at the camp.
  • Establish the development of good playing habits.
  • Help players develop their tactical, technical, physical and mental skills to higher levels.
  • Raise the BAR.
  • Expose each player to the demands of competitive soccer.
  • Develop a "Team" concept and show the potential of its success over all the individuals.
  • Redefine "WINNING" as giving maximum effort during each match. Good results will follow.
  • Soccer is "FUN". After all, it is a game.
